There is Nothing Like It Anywhere...
Shades of yesterday...over 90 years ago, a wealthy Mansfield industrialist built the mammoth "storybook" dairy barn. The original structure reigned as an agricultural showplace. In 1929, the depression struck and as years passed, the barn changed hands several times. Each new owner used the structure for its intended purpose - to produce dairy products. The last cows were milked in the Barn in the summer of 1956. And then it stood vacant for several years. In 1963, the Stobers purchased and restored the red-brick barn and it became the home of Spring Mill Furniture Barn.
The renovation was named one of the top restoration projects in the state of Ohio. “Mom and Dad had a
habit of investing in real estate. Before tackling the barn,
they owned and operated the Shelby Chair Company where they
manufactured upholstered furniture from 1947 till 1963. They knew
the barn would make a great furniture store," said
Spring Mill Furniture Barn's President Rod Stober. The all brick barn was opened for business in the fall of 1964.
We have sold quality furniture and lots of it. At the barn you won't find any gimmicks, just quality. over 95% of the merchandise we sell is made in North America, and we are proud of it. See me Rod Stober because..."I wouldn't put a piece of furniture in your home that I wouldn't have in mine".
